In 2018, Adweek’s Poject Isaac Awards recognized the Mayochup product launch among the year’s most innovative advertising. It took top honor for “Best Use of Twitter” at The Drum Social Buzz Awards. And in 2019 won a Shorty Award in the Food & Beverage category.

Client: People are buzzing about “Mayochup,” a product we make in Dubai. Anything we can do with that? Us: Let’s ask America if they want it….

930,691 Votes and 2.3 billion impressions later, Mayochup was a household name.

Here’s how it happened:

1st

We launched a poll with this simple image.

Then…

People went nuts.

Some loved it. Some hated it.

But all of them wanted to be heard.

Things got wild.

So the world is officially divided.

ESPECIALLY when it comes to the name. What do we do?

Let them decide what we should call it.

Mayochup stuck, but…

We still wanted to let the fans know that we heard them loud and clear. So we shared the top 100 most creative and popular names on Heinz.com and offered them all an opportunity to pre-order their custom Fry Sauce, Fancy Sauce, etc for themselves.

DIY kits

Through all the chaos, some people opted out of our Mayochup all together and preferred to it their own. So of course we sent some Heinz love to them too with their very own DIY Mayochup kits… complete with Heinz Ketchup and Mayo.
